Martyrs of Uhud
The burial ground of the martyrs of the Battle of Uhud, including Hamza.
This ground at the foot of Mount Uhud is where the seventy companions martyred in the Battle of Uhud are buried. Hamza, the uncle of the Prophet, lies here as well.
Archers' Hill (Aynayn), which decided the course of the battle, stands beside the site; our guide recounts the battle here.
Prayers are offered for the martyrs during the visit. Uhud is one of the most moving stops of the Medina programme.
This visit is included in our Umrah programmes.
